In pursuance of Govt. Letter No. ELE.97/2013/Pt/95Dtd. 06.06.2017, applications are invited in Standard Form as published in Assam Gazette in Part-X from the citizen of India as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for filling up of the following posts sanctioned by Govt. vide letter Nos. ELE.321/2014/20 Dtd. 20.03.2015 at Election Branch of Deputy Commissioners Office Sivasagar and Election Office, Nazira in the Pay Bands & Grade Pay with other allowances as admissible under Rule.
Name of Post: Data Entry Operator
No of post: 4 (UR)
Educational Qualification: Minimum Graduate in any stream with minimum 60% marks in aggregate with a UGC/ AICTE approved/ recognized Diploma in Computer Science/ Applications/ ‘O’ Level or equivalent certificate from NIELET.
Or
A diploma holder from Polytechnic with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent from UGC/ AICTE approved recognized institute in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Electronics Telecommunications Engineering/ Information Technology.
a) Desirable Conditions: Candidate must have a typing speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour. A certificate of typing/ skill test is needed
.b) Other Preferences: Typing knowledge in languages like Assamese/ Bengali/ Devnagri would be preferable.
c) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in data entry operator is needed.
Candidates already in Government service should apply through proper channel.
Scale of Pay: Pay Band(II) (5200-20200)+ GP Rs.2400 p.m.
Age Limit: 18 to 38 years as on 01.01.2017. Relaxation of age is admissible as per existing Rules.
Mandatory Particulars: Mandatory particulars to be enclosed with the application are HSLC Admit Card, Pass Certificate & Mark sheets of HSLC and Graduation, PRC, Caste Certificate, Employment Exchange Registration Card, (four) copies of recent passport size photograph on front side with the name of applicant and address of the applicant written on the rear side and 1 (one) of which will have to be posted on appropriate position of the application.

Note: Candidates applying for the post of Data Entry Operator will have to appear in a written test of 100 marks comprising General English, General Knowledge, General Aptitude & Current Affairs and the date for which will be intimated in due course of time through an Assamese daily newspaper. Call letters of the same shall be issued to the candidate. Successful candidates of written test for Data Entry Operator will be called for an interview and proficiency test in typewriting and computer. The dates of interviews and test of proficiency in typewriting and computer shall be advertised and call letters dispatched to successful candidates of written examination.
