Army Public Schools (APS) - 8000 Teachers Army Welfare Education Society Recruitment - December 2017







Army Public Schools (APS) located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India. These schools are administered and managed by local Army authorities and affiliated to CBSE through Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). There are approximately 8000 teachers on the rolls of these schools. The respective schools employ teachers on permanent, contractual and ad-hoc basis depending on the vacancy state in the school. The appointments would be liable to transfers.

Educational Qualification:
  • PGT: Post Graduation (50 % Marks) and B.Ed (50 % Marks)
  • TGT: Graduation (50 % Marks) and BEd (50 % Marks)
  • PRT: Graduation (50 % Marks) and BEd (50 % Marks)
CTET/TET conducted by state governments is mandatory for appointment as TGTs/PRTs. Others found a fit in all other respects may be appointed on ‘Adhoc’ basis only till attainment of qualification. However, CTET/TET is not mandatory for appearing in CSB online Screening exam.

Pay: Basic and Grade Pay is generally comparable to Central Govt rates and Allowances will be decided by respective school management.

Age Limit: Age on 01.04.2018.
For Fresh Candidates: 40 years (except for NCR schools where TGT/PRT should be 29 yrs and PGT 36 years)
For Experienced Candidates: 57 years

How to Apply: 



Eligible Candidates may apply Online through website http://awes-csb.in from 01 Dec 2017 to 21 Dec 2017. Candidates can register from 9AM on 01 Dec 2017 to 5PM on 21 Dec 2017.

 Selection Process: Selection Will be done in three stages, 
  • Stage 1-Screening Exam.
  • Stage 2-Interview.
  • Stage 3-Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs 500/- through Debit/Credit Cards/ net banking/Bank Challan.
