Applications are invited in the prescribed format from the eligible candidates fulfilling the conditions given below for engagement of Act Apprentices for imparting training at different Units over North East Frontier Railway under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.

Age limit: Age of the candidates must be in between 15-24 years as on 31st Oct 2017.Upper age limit is relaxable for ST/ SC/ OBC and PH/ EX-Serviceman as admissible.
1. One candidate can apply for only one unit and trade. The candidates applying for more than one unit will not
be entertained,
2. The Application form & Call Letter as per prescribed format as stated in Annexure A & B must be submitted
through registered post only in A-4 paper to the respective Unitduly filled in all respect by the candidate in his
own handwriting with ballpoint pen to be addressed to the addresse$ of respective units as stated above in
closed envelop enclosing the following :-
3. The self-addressed envelope of 11" x 5" with Postal Stamp of Rs. 5/- (Exemption for SC/ST Candidates).
4. A Crossed Postal Order in favor of F.A. & C.A.O. N.F. Railway, Maligaon payable to GPO/Guwahati for Rs.
100/- (Exemption for SC/ST, PWD& women candidate) as a processing fee which is not refundable/transferable under any circumstances. The Postal Order purchased before the date of publication of this notice will not be valid.

The fee can also be paid in the form of Account Payee demand draft drawn from any Nationalized Bank inthe favor of F.A. & C.A.O., N.F. Railway, and payable at SB|/Maligaon, Branch.
5. No fee is required for SC/ST/PH Moman candidates,
1.Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all the eligible candidates who apply against the notification in respective units.
2.Shortlisted candidates, thus enlisted in respective units, will be called for document verification to the extent of 1,5 times of the notified vacancies,
3. In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidates with older age shall be preferred. In case
the dates of birth are also the same, then the candidate who passed matriculation examination earlier shall be
considered first.
4. A final merit list will be prepared unit wise, trade wise and community wise, equal to the number of
slots in the descending order of percentage of marks obtained by the candidate, as stated above,
5. Candidates finally enlisted would be su$ect to verification of original testimonials and being found
fit in appropriate Medical examination by Railways as applicable for the Workshop and for the other
Units.
6. Probable date of display of a list of selected candidates is 15,12.2017 and tentative date of
commencement of training is31.12.2017.
7. Willing candidates are advised to submit application well in advance before the closing date, Applications
receipt after the last date will not be entertained under any circumstances,
