Assam ITI Admission 2017 online application
Online application for Admission into the Govt. ITI’s of Assam for NCVT / CoE / trades, SCVT trades, SCVT under IMC ( SCVT trades run by IMC in some ITI’s on payment of higher fees by candidates) under Craftsmen Training Scheme for the session commencing from August’ 2017 are invited from permanent residents of Assam.
Eligible candidates can fill their online applications at boards counseling website http://www.itiassam.nic.in on before the last date specified.

Online application for Admission into the Govt. Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed 10th class under 10+ 2 system of education For non-engineering course and passed 10th class under 10+ 2 system of education with science & mathematics or its equivalent for engineering courses admission. However, for Wireman and Welder course, 8th passed candidates can also apply.

Steps to Be Followed in the Entire e-Counseling process
1. To participate in the e-counseling the candidate shall fill all his particulars on the counseling website www.itiassam.nic.in under the option New Registration.
2. After filling all the correct information, the candidate will take the printout of his filled particulars. The candidate has to remember password filled during registration.
3. To correct information (if any), the candidate has to login by using Roll no printed on the printout and password. For correction, the candidate will use Edit Registration Module.
4. After taking the printout, the candidate shall have to visit the nearest Govt. ITI for verification of his/her documents with the particulars filled during registration, as per scheduled dates on all working days during office hours.
5. Candidates who have applied for the trade for entry qualification of class VIII pass trades shall produce the certificate in format-I along with mark sheet, while verification of their documents.
6. For 10th pass entry qualification, candidates will produce HSLC pass documents & mark sheets at the time of verification.
7. Candidates of CBSE courses are to fill their marks of each subject by converting with CGPA (9.5).
8. No grade is allowed to be put in the marks column.
9. A candidate will be eligible for filling his choices only after verification by the Govt. ITI & his / her Rank generation. After verification date is over, the system will generate his/her Rank, as per counseling schedule. A candidate can see his/her Rank in his/her Registration details. There will be one Rank, one seat.
10. The registration is a one time process & it will be valid for all three online counseling.
11. For filling the choices a candidate has to login again by using Roll No. Printed on the printout & password during the period in which the choice filling is allowed. On successful login, the following option will be available to the candidate:
13. Allotment of seat: After the choice filling is over all filled choices of all registered candidates will be considered for allotment of seats as per merit (Rank) & category of the candidate. The allotment of the seat is purely provisional.
14. If a seat is allotted, the candidate has to take a printout of his allotment letter & visit the allotted Govt. ITI for accepting the admission. The candidates are required to report to their respective allotted Institutions within the specified period (as per the counseling schedule) along with the documents/testimonials/certificates & Fees. If a candidate does not report to the institute within the stipulated period, his/her allotted seats will be canceled and the candidate will not have any claim of the seat what so ever.
15. If no seat is allotted, then the candidate has to participate in the next counseling by filling his choices again.
16. If a candidate has allotted a seat, to get a better choice of course or institute, the candidate can participate in the 2nd & 3rd counseling. In that case, if he/she is allotted seat as per his/ her new choice the admission taken earlier will be canceled & the fees deposited by the candidate will not be refunded & he/she is to take admission again by depositing fees.

Guidelines for Filling Choices by the Candidates
1. Candidates are advised to fill as many choices as desired from the available list of choices.
2. The list of choices of courses will be available to candidates as per his entry qualification and as per eligibility. (For example, if the candidate has not passed the HSLC exam with Science or Mathematics, those post matric courses for which Science, Mathematics are compulsory will not be available to the candidate. Similarly for HSLC pass entry qualification, if the candidate has not passed the HSLC exam with Mathematics & English then those courses will not be available to the candidate & for under matric trades if he did not pass the entry qualification examination with English & Mathematics then those courses will not be available to the candidate).
3. The list of courses will be available separately for NCVT, SCVT, and SCVT, under IMC courses (on payment of higher course fee). For SCVT under IMC courses (on payment of higher course fee), the candidates of the respective district may opt for admission in respective ITI of their district, where such courses exist.
4. Choices can be filled after the confirmation of registration details by the Govt. ITI.
5. There are two boxes available at the “Fill choices” option: - Left box indicates the total available choices as per candidate’s eligibility. The right box indicates the choices filled by the candidate.
6. Available choices can be sorted course wise & institution wise any time during the choice filling.
7. The system has the facility to add Single choice at a time.
8. A single choice can be filled by first selecting a choice from the Left box & then pressing the <ADD> button available in the Left box. The choice will be added to the Right box after pressing the<ADD> button.
9. The system has the facility to move the choices by selecting the <Move choice> option from the combo box available under label Edit your filled choices.
10. The system has the facility to Swap Choice by selecting the <Swap Choice> option from the combo box available under label Edit your filled Choices.
11.After completing the choice filling, it is important to save the choices. If not saved all the choices will be deleted.
12.Candidate can adopt any of the following approaches for saving choices:

- Change Password: Candidate can Change his/her password using the option.
- Allotment Letter: Candidate can generate allotment letter before reporting for admission to an allotted institute.
